Sequels – Recycle, Reuse, Relove
Finding a clothing store that has a variety of styles is hard to come by. Finding luxury – new and vintage – items in that same store is even harder. Thankfully, Fredericksburg has Sequels!
In business since 2003 in the Fredericksburg area, Sequels is an upscale ladies resale boutique located a couple of minutes away from the Spotsylvania Mall. The mother-daughter duo of Marisela Paone and Meagan Lorraine Paone own and operate this stylish boutique.
I’ve been to the store many times as a seller and a buyer. One of the things that I love about Sequels is that they give you cash on the spot for your items. Unlike other resale shops, they carry all kinds of styles. As someone who likes to play with different styles, I was pleasantly happy as I looked through the store. You can find modern and trendy clothing, as well as, beautiful vintage dresses. I loved seeing that they carry clothing items from stores like Old Navy to luxury bags from Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
Aside from clothing, Sequels also carries shoes, handbags, jewelry and even furniture. A little spot in the back of the store displays all kinds of cute things for the home.
With help from the ladies at Sequels, I put together four looks so you can get a sense of the different kinds of items they carry. It was incredibly fun putting these looks together and they were very helpful in finding the right items for each outfit. Being professionals, they just didn’t throw whatever they could find together, they worked to find pieces that I would love and feel comfortable in.
Look #1
Look 1 is casual and modern. Even in this heat, I am comfortable walking around in this top and jeans. We decided that both the backpack and crossbody bag looked great with this outfit.
The blouse is from Madewell, jeans are True Religion, crossbody bag is Marc Jacobs, backpack is Arizona. All of these items plus the necklace and earrings are found at Sequels.
Look #2
I LOVE this dress as I’m all about eyelet dresses! I would wear this dress to brunch on a Saturday or Sunday and it is also a fabulous summer date night outfit.
The dress is BCBGeneration, the sunglasses are vintage Giorgio Armani and the crossbody bag is vintage Coach. All of these items and the earrings are at Sequels.
Look #3
This is my favorite outfit!
With a very feminine office appropriate look, I would honestly wear these pieces anywhere because each item is just too cute. And the sunglasses complete this outfit perfectly!
The blouse is Loft, the skirt is J.Crew, the bag is Ted Baker and the sunglasses are vintage Giorgio Armani. All of these items plus the matching bow earrings are found at Sequels.
Look #4
This cocktail look is feminine with a little bit of an edge. It is the little black dress that you can never go wrong with. Tip: Anytime I wear black I always accessorize with my signature red lip.
The dress is BCBGeneration, the clutch is DVF, the shoes are Delicious. All of these items plus the choker are found at Sequels.
