First stop – Carl’s Ice Cream at 2200 Princess Anne Street.
If you live in Fredericksburg or in a surrounding county, you definitely know about – or more likely – have been to Carl’s. Founded in 1947, this curbside frozen custard spot is home to soft serve cones, malts, shakes and more.
Serving up classic flavors of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, Carl’s is hopping from mid-February until mid-November. If it is a gorgeous day or night, you can count on a long line but with rave reviews, the wait is worth it.
One last piece of advice – bring cash so you won’t be disappointed when you finally get to order!
